As part of Interstate Companies, Inc., you will be part of a vibrant organization that supports over 1,500 employees across various divisions, including Interstate Assembly Systems, Interstate Bearing Systems, Interstate Energy Systems, Interstate Power Systems, and I-State Truck Center. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of refrigeration units.
- A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with tractor-trailer maintenance is preferred.
- Specialized training in the overhaul of refrigeration components is required.
- Utilize necessary tools effectively to diagnose and repair complex engine issues.
- Collaborate with peers and supervisors to communicate repair needs and solutions.
- Ensure quality control of work performed to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and services rendered.
- Meet certification requirements as necessary.
Position Requirements:
- Valid Driver's license; CDL holders will receive bonus compensation.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability are essential.
- Perform maintenance services with a focus on Carrier and/or Thermo King refrigeration equipment.
- Proficient in testing lines and components using various test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex schematics related to refrigeration systems.
- Identify and document warrantable repairs accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles as needed to diagnose issues.
- Comprehensive understanding of Carrier Refrigeration systems is a must.
- Experience with Thermo King systems is a plus.
- Additional mechanical skills in hydraulics, brakes, and transmissions are desirable.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and handling equipment without restrictions.
