This role involves performing MRI testing procedures and serving as the primary interface with patients to ensure their MRI testing needs are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Secures accurate patient screening and consent following departmental protocols.
- Maintains all quality monitoring processes as per departmental guidelines.
- Provides appropriate care tailored to the patient's condition and age, including pediatric, geriatric, and general populations.
- Adheres to all patient safety protocols, including maintaining a safe MRI environment, monitoring patients, assessing fall risks, verifying pregnancy status, conducting GFR assessments, and ensuring patient identification.
- Exhibits flexibility, organization, and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Participates in MRI on-call duties as scheduled, responding promptly when called in.
- Assists in the orientation and training of new staff and interns as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Registered ARRT with MRI certification or ARMRIT.
- CPR certification – Basic Life Support.
- Physical Demands: Candidates must meet the essential physical requirements for the role, including the ability to lift 50 lbs, carry 20 inches, and push/pull 50 lbs.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science Degree.
- Two years of experience in MRI.
- One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
