Neonatology Opportunities in Washington's Wine Growing Region
ResponsibilitiesMedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is seeking a Neonatologist to enhance our practice in a vibrant region known for its agricultural richness.
- MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital (MYMH) features a 15-bed Level IIIA NICU catering to South Central WA state.
- Regional perinatal center for Yakima County and surrounding areas, including several federally designated critical access hospitals.
- Annual delivery rate of approximately 2500 births.
- The only Level III NICU within a 70-mile radius, surrounded by critical access hospitals lacking pediatric or NICU services.
- Over 40 years of established history in delivering expert neonatal medical care to a thriving rural community.
- Average daily patient census of 10, actively working to enhance services in collaboration with high-level community OB care and MFM services.
- Offering conventional mechanical ventilation and bubble CPAP support; currently not providing high frequency ventilation or iNO.
- A full range of therapists, including Speech/Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists, are available for consultation and developmental assessments.
- Collaboration with a sister practice in Spokane for weekly meetings to review clinical guidelines and host educational conferences.
- Established relationships with three children's hospitals in the state for pediatric subspecialty services.
- Physicians typically work in 5-day blocks with home call, promoting a balanced work schedule.
