Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate professionals to join our team as Residential Specialists at Maxwell House. In this role, you will work closely with residents who are struggling with substance abuse disorder to develop and implement individualized recovery plans. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting initial assessments and screenings to identify client needs and strengths.
- Maintaining a caseload and providing regular support and guidance to assigned clients.
- Developing and implementing individualized recovery plans in collaboration with program supervisors and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Providing chemical dependency evaluation, service planning, and counseling as directed by the program supervisor.
- Monitoring and documenting client interactions and behaviors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid New York State driver's license and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A bachelor's or associate's degree in a related field or relevant experience is preferred. Additionally, you must be sensitive to cultural differences and able to incorporate that understanding into your service provision.
