**Job Summary**

As a Pilot Rotor Wing Specialist at Air Methods, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals within an assigned operational area. This role requires a high level of expertise in aviation and a strong commitment to compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and Air Methods policies and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
  • Complete pre-flight checks to ensure the aircraft is airworthy.
  • Final authority on aircraft operations and passenger safety.
  • Responsible for completion of required documentation.
  • Conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
  • Participate in Air Methods meetings, activities, and community outreach.

**Requirements:**

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and two to five years related experience and/or training.
  • Commercial & Instrument Rating for category and class of aircraft.
  • First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.
  • Ability to maintain a weight not to exceed 250 pounds and be less than seventy (70) years old.
