About the RoleThis position involves performing routine vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard, meeting Ryder's quality and safety requirements.
As a Diesel Mechanic at Ryder, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and other equipment. You will be expected to perform tasks such as oil changes, brake and tire work, diagnostic tests, and complex engine repairs.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of diesel engines and mechanical systems. You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues efficiently.
A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred, but not required. However, you must be able to obtain a CDL within six months of hire. You will also need to pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and background check.
