Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Food and Nutrition Service Assistant plays a crucial role in daily patient food service operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Assembling meal trays and portioning food items.
  • Preparing snacks, tube feedings, and nutritional supplements.
  • Delivering floor stock and special requests to various units.
  • Transporting meal trays to patient rooms while ensuring safety and adherence to sanitation protocols.
  • Providing exceptional customer service at all times.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience in healthcare food and nutrition services is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to human blood and body fluids.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
