Key Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Execution
    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure thorough testing of software applications.
    • Identify and prioritize test cases to ensure efficient testing.
  • Database Testing
    • Design and execute database testing strategies to validate data integrity and consistency.
    • Develop and execute SQL queries to test database functionality.
  • API Testing
    • Test web services and APIs to ensure they meet business requirements.
    • Use tools such as SOAP UI and PostMan to test API functionality.
  • Defect Management
    • Identify and report defects to the development team.
    • Collaborate with the development team to resolve defects.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate test results and defects to the development team and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth testing and development processes.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • At least 8 years of QA experience, including 5 years of manual testing.
    • Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and database query writing/execution.
    • Experience testing standalone, web, backend systems, and/or mobile applications.
  • Skills
    • Expertise in testing methodologies, test plans, and test case development.
    • Strong experience testing software at the API level using SOAP UI, PostMan, and REST Client.
    • Well-versed in defect reporting processes.
    • Experience writing and maintaining test cases and related documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Automation Tools
    • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver or similar tools.
  • Healthcare Industry Experience
    • Working experience in the Healthcare industry is highly desirable.
