Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical exams, consultations, and referrals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions.
- Document patient care services in a clear and concise manner, ensuring accurate coding and billing.
- Collaborate with the care team to provide exceptional patient care and support.
- Assess patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and medical histories.
- Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
- Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, and emotional problems of daily living.
- Develop and implement patient management plans to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Protect patients and employees by complying with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- Contribute to the development of healthcare team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
- Registration and licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- 1-3 years' experience in an outpatient care office preferred.
