Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a variety of welding techniques to repair, modify, and install piping, structures, and fittings associated with marine systems.
  • Choose suitable materials for welding assignments and create fixtures as necessary.
  • Prepare surfaces utilizing an array of tools and equipment.
  • Comply with safety regulations, including the use of appropriate protective gear.
  • Interpret and understand blueprints for machine setup and operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Accurately follow repair procedures and directives.
  • Deliver high-quality welds even in demanding conditions.
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Expertise in the setup, adjustment, and operation of welding machinery and tools.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Certification in welding.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a welding role.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, and fingers is required.
