Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services Department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct group counseling sessions and lectures to promote mental health awareness and education.
  • Participate in weekly clinical staffing sessions to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement referral development strategies to increase community engagement and outreach.
  • Review and analyze emotional, behavioral, and social assessments to inform treatment decisions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in mental health field or Louisiana LCSW preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a salaried social worker with 1 year of counseling experience in mental health field preferred.
  • Current Louisiana LPC/LCSW License required.
