Responsibilities
  • Monitor and record temperatures of perishable items to ensure food safety.
  • Store food in correct places, labeling and dating all items properly to preserve quality.
  • Rotate inventory daily to ensure first-in, first-out rotation.
  • Check for damaged, leaking, or spoiled products and maintain food quality control.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Loretto and Advanced Meal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work area, including loading and unloading soiled dishes and trays.
  • Deliver trays and food carts to assigned floors and notify nursing staff of tray arrival.
  • Keep beverage coolers clean and stocked for meals.
  • Clean and sanitize pots, pans, racks, and work areas.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or GED not required.
  • Must be 17 years of age or older.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English language.
  • Ability to follow simple oral and written directions.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to adapt to hot or cold environments.
