Maintenance Electrician

At Mattel, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain electrical equipment, including generators, electrical panels, lighting fixtures, and associated equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems and their components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventative maintenance.
- Complete corrective and preventive work orders as assigned.
- Inspect Fire/Life/Safety systems and repair when possible or assist contractor with repairs if necessary.
- Assist contractors to support T.I.'s and new construction.
- Maintain relevant logs and documentation.
- Assist with management of inventories.
- Respond to emergency situations during and after hours.
- Complete work at or below position's Grade Level as required by management.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Three (3) years of Industrial/Commercial experience working as an Electrician.
- Experience with working with various AC voltages ranging from low (12VAC) to High (480VAC) both single and three-phase systems.
- Understanding of basic electronics and programming.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
- Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
- Experience performing routine maintenance.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Eye for detail.
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to accurately estimate jobs time, labor, & material for all types of projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of computers and software for emails, work orders, and other basic office software.
- Use of proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
- Understanding of SDS (Safety Data Sheet) terminology and usage.
The base hourly rate for this position is $45.42 per hour. This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base hourly rate will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills, and experience.
