Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

At Mattel, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain electrical equipment, including generators, electrical panels, lighting fixtures, and associated equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems and their components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventative maintenance.
  • Complete corrective and preventive work orders as assigned.
  • Inspect Fire/Life/Safety systems and repair when possible or assist contractor with repairs if necessary.
  • Assist contractors to support T.I.'s and new construction.
  • Maintain relevant logs and documentation.
  • Assist with management of inventories.
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours.
  • Complete work at or below position's Grade Level as required by management.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years of Industrial/Commercial experience working as an Electrician.
  • Experience with working with various AC voltages ranging from low (12VAC) to High (480VAC) both single and three-phase systems.
  • Understanding of basic electronics and programming.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to accurately estimate jobs time, labor, & material for all types of projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and software for emails, work orders, and other basic office software.
  • Use of proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
  • Understanding of SDS (Safety Data Sheet) terminology and usage.

The base hourly rate for this position is $45.42 per hour. This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base hourly rate will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills, and experience.
