Job Overview

The Martha O'Bryan Center seeks a highly qualified Early Learning Center Lead Teacher to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with young children in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

About the Role

This role is responsible for planning and executing a high-quality early learning environment that provides children with holistic, developmentally appropriate learning opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and families, particularly those living in poverty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement an individually and developmentally appropriate program of activities that meets the Center's written educational philosophy and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with both DHS Child Care Licensing standards and the National Association for the Education of Young Children code of ethical conduct and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and maintain a safe, healthy, independent learning environment.
  • Practice positive discipline techniques that promote the development of self-discipline.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, education, child development or related field.
  • Early Childhood experience of two years or more.
  • Experience working with young children and families, particularly those living in poverty.
