Riverside Research is in search of a Systems Engineer to devise solutions for our Collection Orchestration Planning Suite. The role will involve collaborating with the development team to translate evolving customer requirements into effective system designs and addressing critical challenges with swift and quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct performance assessments for Sensor Mission Planning, including the design of new features, liaising with users and the development team, and troubleshooting anomalies.
- Perform technical data analysis across a variety of engineering challenges involving large-scale GEOINT systems.
- Engage in investigation and root-cause analysis of system and software performance issues.
- Support system modernization and conduct architecture studies.
- Provide test support, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), algorithm prototyping, and simulation.
- Investigate and address system and software performance anomalies.
- Analyze system and mission requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and support system modernization and architecture studies.
- Collaborate across multiple agencies and stakeholders to develop solutions and build consensus.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI and submit to CI Poly.
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's, or 3+ years with a Master's.
- Strong understanding of Satellite Mission Planning functionalities, performance limitations, and mission support requirements.
- Proven ability to cultivate and manage customer relationships and identify emerging opportunities such as RFPs, BAAs, SBIRs, and IRADs.
- Experience with .NET, Java, C#, and Python applications.
- Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming, Databases, and Web/Cloud applications.
Desired:
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.
- Master's Degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in Object-Oriented Programming, Databases, and Web/Cloud applications.
- Experience in Dev/Sec/Ops.
- Background in Business Development.
- Project Leadership experience.
- Experience in GEOINT and MASINT.
- Familiarity with Space Situational Awareness.
Compensation
The typical compensation range for this position is $106,000 - $165,000, based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.
