Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Loads Engineer to support the development and validation of loads criteria for suborbital space missions and other unique configurations. This role involves collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure the effective application of design and loads requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation for pre-flight activities, including reviewing test limitations, flight test plans, and procedures.
- Provide support during flight readiness reviews and mission control operations, as well as conduct post-flight analyses.
- Develop airframe and component loads necessary for structural design and qualification, both static and dynamic.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards to facilitate entry into commercial service.
- Create standardized analysis and reporting tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Update models based on data collected from vehicle or component testing and analytical tools.
- Establish rational loads criteria and requirements for unconventional vehicles.
- Offer technical leadership in loads engineering across the organization.
- Innovate and refine loads standards, processes, and best practices.
- Formulate technical roadmaps and strategies related to loads engineering.
- Lead design or analysis initiatives for new products, systems, or processes.
- Facilitate effective cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and support team success.
- Guide projects and teams in making informed engineering decisions and recommendations.
- Organize and plan work to meet established standards and requirements.
- Commit to meeting deadlines and executing plans effectively.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster professional growth.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 14 years of experience in external loads with a B.S. in engineering, or 12 years with an M.S., or 9 years with a Ph.D. in engineering.
- Proven experience in in-flight test aerodynamic and loads model validation.
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft and spacecraft systems.
- Familiarity with flight dynamics and 6DOF trajectory simulation.
- Understanding of aerospace standards and structural design criteria (FAA, NASA, MilSpec, etc.).

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, C++, FORTRAN, and Simulink, including best practices in software development.
- Experience with CATIA V5 and NASTRAN.
- Ability to advise senior management on complex, multi-faceted business aspects with technological implications.
- Strong team collaboration skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Capability to establish robust relationships with key stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:
- Background in test planning for flight and ground testing, including writing test plans and data verification.
- Experience with comprehensive aircraft analysis, including transonic and supersonic test execution.
