Job Summary:

As a Crane Operator at TransForce, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads and bridge construction sites. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to following safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating the crane under supervision and ensuring its safety
• Inspecting the crane to ensure its safety and performing routine maintenance
• Carrying tools for running repairs and understanding and executing the job billing process
• Driving the crane to a worksite and wearing PPT safety equipment
• Cleaning and maintaining the crane hoisting mechanism and using lever and pedal controls efficiently
• Operating the crane according to signals from a helper and working harmoniously with others
• Following specific directions and instructions from supervisors and performing a variety of tasks and duties
• Working within defined standards of accuracy and in a variety of weather conditions
• Performing all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• CDL Class B license
• Must possess NCCCO or equivalent crane operator certification
• Minimum of 4 years industry experience and knowledge of OSHA Regulations and ANSI Standards in crane operations
• Proficient in oral and written communication skills and ability to use arms and hand to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling and ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
• Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction)
• Preferred Qualifications: CDL Class A license
