Position Overview

The CT Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and patient care skills to ensure optimal imaging results.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: BLS, AART, AART advanced certification.
  • Licensure: Must possess a valid MD license.
Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure all necessary licensure is secured prior to commencing duties.
  • Work schedule includes weekends, specifically Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7 PM to 7 AM.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required; however, first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
  • Conduct cat scan procedures utilizing established protocols, ensuring thorough review of requisitions for completeness.
  • Adjust imaging equipment and select appropriate technical parameters to achieve optimal radiographic exposure.
  • Utilize standard positioning techniques to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Choose suitable protocols for each CT scan, ensuring the correct levels of density and contrast are applied.
  • Perform scanning procedures on various organs to accurately localize pathological processes.
  • Complete examinations efficiently, managing IV and oral contrast orders through the electronic system.
  • Document contrast administration and scan results in the designated electronic health record system.
  • Timely completion of exam processes, including screenings, consents, and paperwork scanning.
  • Experience with scanner equipment from manufacturers such as GE and Siemens is essential.
  • Required experience includes abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and brain perfusion imaging, as well as CT angiography and multiplanar reconstruction.
  • Preferred skills include aspirations/biopsies, colography, CT arthrography, drainage procedures, myelography, transplant studies, and PET/CT imaging.
Work Schedule

This position requires availability on weekends, specifically Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7 PM to 7 AM.
