Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription filling, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Process prescriptions, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, and verifying medicine is correct.
  • Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh medications.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy systems and software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
