Business Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team at The Intersect Group. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business success by analyzing business needs and developing solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyze business challenges and translate them into system requirements to meet business initiatives and expectations.
  • Perform project management duties to support the initiation, planning, execution, and completion of projects as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Develop workflow charts and diagrams that meet department criteria and align with system capabilities.
  • Document all defined requirements and maintain any changes made to the Requirements Document (RD) to ensure alignment with system development.
  • Resolve issues and problems in a timely manner and provide recommendations to meet project deadlines and milestones.
  • Collaborate with department personnel to inform and conduct follow-up on problems or potential problem situations in a timely manner and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with department personnel to facilitate project success.
  • Continuously develop analytical skills and knowledge of the business and gain familiarity with systems development methodologies, project planning, and project control disciplines.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or project management required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Excellent project management skills and knowledge of project planning and control disciplines required.
  • Exceptional communication skills required.
  • Familiarity with systems development methodologies, business case development, and modeling techniques and methods required.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
