Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language needs and create tailored goals and treatment plans.
  • Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions to enhance students' communication abilities.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to foster students' speech and language development.
  • Monitor students' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress updates.
  • Stay informed about the latest practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Possess a valid Louisiana license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Have certification from the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • Preferably, hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Prior experience working in an educational environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capable of functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
