Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Event Specialist to join our team at Product Connections. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for executing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Execution: Manage and maintain equipment and supplies used for events, ensuring they are clean and secured in the designated area of the backroom.
  • Communication: Communicate with store management about upcoming events and the execution of past events in their store when the supervisor is absent.
  • Point of Contact: Serve as the point person for all events being conducted in the store when the supervisor is absent, assisting other Event Specialists with event kits, materials, and tools as needed.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and knowledge to the team, assisting the supervisor as needed.
  • Product Knowledge: Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Have the desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
  • Food Safety: Ability to prepare and serve food samples, including raw meats, produce, and eggs, complying with food safety guidelines.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
  • Appearance and Grooming: Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
  • Event Setup: Properly set up and prepare the Event Table for execution.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete all work assigned, assist with preparation for client visits, and complete audit corrections.
  • Rapport Building: Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Expense Reports: Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
  • Documentation: Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.
  • Photography: Take digital photos of the Perfect Table Setup to document success stories for clients.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient ability to use and navigate on a personal computer and personal mobile device using applications and internal systems.
  • Certifications: Food Safety Professional Certification, Local Food handlers permit if required.
  • Physical Demands: The employee will be regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, visual ability to read instructions and perform responsibilities, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product.
Working Conditions

Retail store environment with limited travel.

Language Skills

English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.

Salary

Starting at $14.00 per hour.
