As the primary point of contact at VCA Animal Hospitals, the Veterinary Client Relations Specialist plays a crucial role in establishing and nurturing the trust and confidence of our clients in our services.

This position is essential to the smooth operation of our facility and encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing exceptional customer service by welcoming clients, answering phone inquiries, and escorting clients and their pets to examination areas.
  • Coordinating and confirming appointments to ensure efficient scheduling.
  • Conducting follow-up calls and reaching out to potential clients.
  • Communicating and clarifying service fees, including processing payments accurately.
  • Advising clients on products and services, including prescriptions, while educating them on general pet care practices.
  • Maintaining and organizing medical records, reports, and correspondence.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a customer service role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Empathy for both pets and their owners, with an understanding of their needs.
  • Effective decision-making abilities to determine the best course of action.
  • Capability to assimilate new information for problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in an environment with potential hazards associated with animals.
