Job Overview

Midwestern Mechanical, Inc. is an Employee Owned company seeking a motivated Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn the skills required for commercial plumbing and mechanical trades through on-the-job training and apprenticeship classes.

The successful candidate will assist in assembling, installing, and repairing plumbing, water flow, and drainage systems according to applicable codes. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality work, meeting productivity expectations, and progressing through the apprenticeship program to become a skilled Journeyman plumber.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with various piping types, including iron, steel, copper, and PVC.
  • Operate powered equipment, hand tools, stationary machines, and other required tools.
  • Maintain a high quality initiative while completing assigned duties.
  • Lift and carry objects safely up to 20 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, and 80 pounds occasionally.
  • Drive a motor vehicle and maintain a current driver's license for commuting to job sites.
