Visiting Assistant Professor of Architecture

We are seeking a highly qualified Visiting Assistant Professor to join our team at the Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Architecture. This is a two-year, full-time 9-month non-tenure-track appointment requiring residency in Atlanta, Georgia. The successful candidate will be part of our NEXT Generation Visiting Fellowship program, which aims to attract candidates who are at the beginning of their careers and interested in interdisciplinary teaching and research that merges design, technology, and culture.
ResponsibilitiesThe Visiting Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching design studios and/or seminars/workshops at both the undergraduate and graduate level. They will also participate actively in the life of the School and engage in high-impact practices that support deep learning for student success. The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in Architecture or a related field and at least two years of teaching experience in design studios. They should also have a demonstrated capacity for the integration of technology and critical thinking into architectural design.

What We OfferThe Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Architecture offers a unique opportunity for the Visiting Assistant Professor to advance their own individual interests through teaching and design research utilizing the full resources of the College of Design. They will have access to our Digital Fabrication Laboratory, which houses a suite of industrial-scale CNC equipment, and will be encouraged to conduct interdisciplinary work with faculty from other schools within the College of Design and across campus.
