Job Summary:
The Director of Health and Wellness at Morada Waxahachie oversees the overall management and leadership of health and wellbeing initiatives within the community, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This includes collecting, analyzing, and reporting occurrence trends, developing and implementing improvement plans as needed.
- This role requires partnering with the Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health safety.
- The Director will work closely with a pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
- Oversight of clinical expertise is provided by licensed nurses.
- The Director assists with educational presentations as assigned by the administrator.
- Needs assessment and identification of ongoing services for residents are carried out through the assessment/service plan process, including documentation for residents with a change in healthcare status.
Responsibilities:
- Update resident service plans according to state regulations.
- Participate in community awareness activities and community relations.
- Maintain communication with residents' families and/or responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns.
- Inform the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs, if applicable.
- Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis.
- Ensure adequate clinical supplies are available.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Director supervises LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants, ensuring delivery of high-quality care to residents in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications:
- A Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing is required, with a Registered Nurse preferred.
- One year of experience in a nursing leadership role, with Senior Living experience preferred.
- BSL Certification is also required.
Requirements:
The Director must be able to communicate effectively, read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. The ability to interact with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner, responding promptly to resident needs, is essential.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
