Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Full-Time Position
Overview:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of patients; diagnose and manage conditions related to gastrointestinal health in both inpatient and outpatient environments, including initial consultations, follow-up visits, and pre/post procedural care.
- Manage a variety of disorders affecting the digestive system, liver, and esophagus, including but not limited to: Barrett's Esophagus, Colorectal Cancer Screening, Colonoscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, ERCP, GERD, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Liver Disorders, and Upper GI Issues.
- Primary facilities include AdventHealth Minneola and Winter Garden hospitals.
- Order and interpret relevant diagnostic evaluations, such as standard laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Oversee the patient's treatment trajectory and make necessary referrals to physicians or specialists when required.
- Collaborate effectively with supervising physicians and healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care and support.
- Exhibit a compassionate and professional demeanor consistently while pursuing personal and professional development.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to foster and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, patients, and the community.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills are essential.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Primary Locations: Minneola & Clermont.
- On-call duties required – one weekend per month (minimum).
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology.
- Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner studies.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current, valid Florida APRN license.
- Certification from ANCC (or equivalent) or NCCPA.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- DEA License.
