We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. in Bethel, Alaska. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing medical social services to patients and their families in our rural communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use a holistic approach to provide medical social services to patients and their families.
- Assist patients and families in solving or ameliorating physical, social, emotional, and/or environmental problems that may be hindering their health.
- Provide social services to people of all ages, from intra-uterine through elderly.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Develop and implement effective plans to address patients' social and emotional needs.
Requirements:
- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited school of Social Work.
- One year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- State of Alaska license at Master's level (LMSW) required or eligibility.
- Valid Alaska State driver's license.
- Basic knowledge of computer use.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write at the college level.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
