POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for overseeing, managing, and addressing any quality-related concerns within the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with product specifications, critical operational processes, and organizational quality standards, including ISO, ASME, laboratory, and customer requirements.
This role also involves collaboration with suppliers, procurement, and engineering teams to enhance the quality of purchased materials and components, striving for a consistently high standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate the Supplier Partnership Program in collaboration with the Purchasing department.
- Engage in supplier audits and internal quality system evaluations.
- Monitor supplier interactions from material receipt to rejection notifications and corrective actions as necessary.
- Act as a technical liaison between suppliers and the manufacturing facility regarding purchased products.
- Encourage a culture of quality awareness, motivating staff to excel in quality and productivity.
- Assist in the development of inspection protocols, guidelines, and documentation to maintain product quality control.
- Evaluate the necessity for new measuring instruments; coordinate their acquisition or development and ensure their precision through proper inspection and calibration.
- Keep the Quality Area Supervisor informed of all quality-related issues.
- Support the investigation of material-related problems, conducting necessary reliability testing and follow-up actions.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Complete all assigned tasks as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- A minimum of four years of experience in engineering and/or quality assurance within a manufacturing setting is essential.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in adhering to standard operating procedures and maintaining quality benchmarks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands of this role require the employee to navigate the production facilities regularly. The environment may involve exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment to mitigate risks associated with hazardous materials.
