Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in assessing patients' physical and functional capacity, implementing activities, and developing fitness programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Program Development: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and functional status, and develop personalized fitness programs to meet their needs.
  • Program Implementation and Evaluation: Implement and evaluate fitness programs, ensuring they are safe, effective, and meet the needs of our patients.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs.
  • Event Planning and Promotion: Coordinate and promote Occupational Health Day and other wellness events, activities, and strategies to engage our patients and community.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Develop and implement data collection systems to track program performance and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Biomechanics.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in cardiac rehabilitation, with expertise in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, emergency procedures, ECG and BP monitoring techniques, and arrhythmias.
  • Certifications: Clinical Exercise Specialist ACSM certification as an Exercise Test Technician or Exercise Specialist preferred.
