Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial statements and engage in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Oversee financial transactions and documentation while optimizing accounting processes.
  • Establish an internal control framework to minimize losses and safeguard company resources.
  • Coordinate tax preparation with external CPA firms and manage insurance renewals.
  • Implement new procedures related to sales tax compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Revise and update accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support other accounting functions as needed (Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable/Invoicing).
  • Assist with human resources and payroll functions as required.
Qualifications:
  • Proactive problem-solver with a focus on identifying solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented individual who enjoys collaboration.
  • Strong accounting expertise with meticulous attention to detail (CPA preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience in project accounting.
  • Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and regulatory reports.
  • Analytical skills to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience with Deltek's Vantage Point Software is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of tax and insurance regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Position Details:

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)

Travel Requirements: Up to 10% (locally between offices or to client sites)

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 to 10 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Prior experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry is advantageous.
