Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned projects throughout their full lifecycle, including developing the scope and technical sections of proposal and procurement documents.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and oversee the delivery of the project plan to successfully accomplish HNTB's 4 for 4 performance: delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction on every project.
  • Proactively manage the budget, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, and client communications in support of the project's objectives.
  • Provide high-level technical tasks while managing and reviewing design-related specifications, calculations, reports, and plans.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners, including cross-discipline and functional teams, to address and problem-solve design-related issues or concerns.
  • Lead client contract scoping and negotiations.
  • Implement the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to overall project objectives.
  • Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff.
  • Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mega and super mega projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 12 years of relevant experience.
  • 4 years of successful management of engineering projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
