Job Title: SIC ElectricianWe are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. in Holly Springs, NC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Knowledgeable with blueprints, sketches, and building plans pertaining to electrical systems.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Prepare layouts, using voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders.
- Terminate panels utilizing LOTO.
- Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
- Run cable tray, pull wire, and bend various types of conduit.
- Understand motor controls and metering.
- Size branch circuit overcurrent protection devices.
- Calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits.
- Rate information using standards, which can be measured or checked.
- Review and compare differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Follow directions, plans, and blueprints.
- Perform work overhead, beneath structures, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
- Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
- Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
- Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
- Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Significant travel may be required.
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
- Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
- Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
- Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
- Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
- Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.
- Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.
- Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
