Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering compassionate and holistic person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a mammography unit to produce high-quality images of the breasts for diagnostic purposes, ensuring proper identification, positioning, and technical quality.
  • Explain the procedure to patients, position and immobilize the patient's breast in the unit, and observe the scanning process.
  • Monitor processor performance daily through sensitometry procedures and maintain accurate patient records and charges.
  • Operate and maintain all mammography and bone densitometry equipment, as well as computed radiograph, direct radiographs, and PACS systems.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent required; graduate from an accredited school of Radiography preferred.
  • Current continuing education in mammography required; successful completion of 40 hours of mammography training.
  • Current Florida CRT license and ARRT and ARRT Mammography [R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT)] registry required; BLS certification also required.
