Position Summary and Qualifications
As a skilled and compassionate ER Nurse, you will provide outstanding patient care in a dynamic emergency room environment. You will handle a range of cases from minor injuries to critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage, assess, and treat patients across all age groups.
- Manage multiple cases concurrently, ensuring nursing care is prioritized.
- Maintain professionalism and composure, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Provide follow-up care instructions and necessary referrals to patients.
- Keep accurate and current patient records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other hospital departments while maintaining a patient-centered focus and prioritizing safety.
Qualifications:
- Valid Utah nursing license in good standing.
- Prior experience in an emergency room setting as a registered nurse is required.
- Associate's Degree in nursing is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
Additional Training:
Required certifications include:
- Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within six months of start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within one year of employment.
- NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of employment.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 60 days of employment.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is preferred.
