At Compass Group, North America, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences to our customers. As a Catering Coordinator at Wente Vineyards, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all catering functions are delivered, served, and cleared in a timely fashion.

Salary: $30.00 per hour

As a key member of the catering team, you will be responsible for coordinating catering staff schedules, meeting with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements, and resolving last-minute changes and problems. You will also interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine workload requirements from catering orders.
  • Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements; address last-minute changes and resolve problems.
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items.
  • Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions.
  • Help staff set up rooms to desired specifications.
  • Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to catering facility.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license may be required. Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
