About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at HealthPro Heritage's Senior Living Facility in Bloomington. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping residents achieve their maximum functional potential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, with experience working with seniors. You will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct thorough assessments of residents to identify their strengths and areas for improvement.

2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each resident.

3. Provide occupational therapy services to residents, including exercises, activities, and education to promote independence and functional ability.

4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate services with other departments.

5. Maintain accurate and timely records of resident progress and treatment plans.

6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in occupational therapy.

8. Provide education and training to residents, families, and staff on occupational therapy services and techniques.

9. Work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team to ensure seamless care transitions.

10. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.

2. Current license/certification in the state of practice.

3. Experience working with seniors, preferably in a senior living facility or similar setting.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality care and customer service.

6. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in occupational therapy.

7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

8. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

9. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

10. Strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
