Position Overview:
As a Server Assistant, your role will involve preparing dining areas with clean linens and utensils while efficiently clearing tables of soiled dishes, glassware, and cutlery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clear plates, glassware, utensils, linens, and other waste from tables once guests have finished dining.
  • Adjust table settings as needed, providing additional place settings or removing extras.
  • Assist guests with condiments, extra napkins, and additional utensils as required.
  • Support the removal of trash and waste from the premises to the designated disposal area.
  • Help maintain cleanliness in side stations, floors, furniture, and restrooms.
  • Inspect chairs and booths for crumbs and debris, ensuring they are wiped clean.
  • Check under tables and around the dining area, sweeping up any crumbs or litter as necessary.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment by consistently picking up litter in dining areas, side stations, and restrooms.
  • Assist the dishwasher in sorting dirty dishware, glassware, and utensils in the dishwashing area.
  • Adhere to safe and sanitary food handling practices at all times.
  • Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
  • Provide assistance to fellow team members and management as needed.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience working with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Capability to perform all necessary cleaning and sanitation tasks.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.
  • Compliance with all sanitation policies and guidelines regarding food handling and personal hygiene.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a consistently positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Experience walking and standing on kitchen flooring, which may have slick surfaces and wet areas.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with irregular hours, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
