Job Summary:
The Advanced Practice Nurse - Hospitalist provides high-quality patient care in a hospital setting, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practice, with a focus on providing comprehensive care to patients with a range of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides direct patient care, including physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning.
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
- Conducts patient education, promoting health and wellness through preventive measures and disease management.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Documents patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
- Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Five years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting, with a focus on hospital medicine.
The Advanced Practice Nurse - Hospitalist will work in a fast-paced hospital setting, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
