Traveling Registered Nurse Opportunities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join our team at Lewisgale Medical Center in Virginia. As a Travel RN in our Emergency Room, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to emergency room patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests and traumas.
- 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Valid Virginia license or compact license at submission.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Preferred certifications: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIH.
Our Emergency Room operates on a rotating schedule, with day and night shifts available. Weekend shifts are also required, with four weekend shifts in a four-week period.
Unit Specific Information- Type of staff: Day Shift - 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics; Night Shift - 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics.
- Patient Ratios - 4-6:1.
- Type of equipment - EMR - Meditech.
- Typical procedures performed on unit(s): RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of the psych patient, transfers to other facilities (EMTALA).
