We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Donation Specialist to join our team at Goodwill Northern New England. As a key member of our donation processing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective processing of donations, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, accept, track, and sort donations to ensure they are properly categorized and stored.
- Provide outstanding customer service to donors, responding to their inquiries and addressing any concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operate power equipment safely and efficiently to organize and store donated goods.
- Categorize and sort merchandise into the correct categories, ensuring quality and value.
- Load and unload materials into containers, helping to prepare donations for processing.
- Process donations throughout the day, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Mathematical and literacy skills to accurately process donations and maintain records.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive and friendly attitude to create a welcoming and supportive work environment.
- Clear background check to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Experience or certification in light manufacturing, processing, or warehouse work.
- Thrift or used goods experience, with knowledge of processing and categorization.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in math and reading skills.
