Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Donation Specialist to join our team at Goodwill Northern New England. As a key member of our donation processing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective processing of donations, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, accept, track, and sort donations to ensure they are properly categorized and stored.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to donors, responding to their inquiries and addressing any concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate power equipment safely and efficiently to organize and store donated goods.
  • Categorize and sort merchandise into the correct categories, ensuring quality and value.
  • Load and unload materials into containers, helping to prepare donations for processing.
  • Process donations throughout the day, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Mathematical and literacy skills to accurately process donations and maintain records.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive and friendly attitude to create a welcoming and supportive work environment.
  • Clear background check to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or certification in light manufacturing, processing, or warehouse work.
  • Thrift or used goods experience, with knowledge of processing and categorization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in math and reading skills.
