Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist PRN in our outpatient department, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and executing medically prescribed physical therapy interventions for patients with various injuries and conditions affecting their muscles, nerves, joints, and bones. Your goal will be to enhance function, increase strength, alleviate pain, and promote independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient functional abilities and disabilities, utilizing standardized assessments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies based on patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide direct patient care through individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with organizational standards.
Qualifications:
• Graduates from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in Michigan.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within three months of hire.
• Must possess a current driver's license and have access to a vehicle for business purposes.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of light objects (up to 20 pounds).
• Ability to perform tasks that may require minor physical strain.
Work Schedule:
• First Shift
• Part-Time, with an expectation of 10 scheduled hours per week.
Additional Information:
• This role may involve supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants and students.
• Participation in departmental committees and process improvement initiatives is encouraged.
