Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Linguistic Expert III to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc. as a Senior Linguistics Specialist. This is a 09+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide linguistic expertise in the areas of syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics to support the development of complex language models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data operations and linguistics, to collect, curate, translate, localize, and annotate data.
  • Design and implement annotation systems and guidelines to ensure high-quality data sets.
  • Evaluate and curate data sets for client models, assessing model and data quality.
  • Develop and maintain complex linguistic analyses, working collaboratively with linguists and data scientists.
Requirements and Technology Experience
  • Native or near-native fluency in Italian.
  • Master's degree in general linguistics or linguistics with an emphasis on Romance languages, computational linguistics, speech science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages.
