What You'll Do:
As a Controls Manager, you will be responsible for managing AGV Systems and Automation engineering groups with regards to budget, schedule, and manpower requirements in accordance with the project master schedules. You will also provide guidelines for training and assistance to new employees, enforce and improve the ISO Controls Procedure, continuously monitor and improve quality and efficiency, set goals and measure performance for direct reports, receive project definition, review the quoted scope of work with program and account managers during the project kick-off, audit project kick-offs to ensure the budget and scope of work are clearly defined, ensure project engineering deliverables comply with controls ISO processes, monitor the critical path on all projects and update controls engineering status, monitor the controls project budgets and timelines using measurables to help improve the staff and process, maintain project design documentation and prepare customer deliverables, participate in Motor City meetings, assist the business unit in closing engineering or staffing issues, and participate in the development of training materials for current and new staff members.
