Victaulic is a global leader in mechanical pipe joining innovations, and we are seeking a highly skilled Global Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team.
About the Role:The primary function of this position is to support Quality Assurance activities related to product and process quality control and continuous improvement across Victaulic manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities:- Support all elements of Victaulic manufacturing quality systems, including new process qualifications, process re-evaluation, non-conforming material containment, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive initiatives.
- Assist facility QA teams in understanding and implementing Victaulic specifications.
- Collaborate with plant quality leaders to identify best practices and implement standard work aimed at improving quality results.
- Provide support as necessary for existing product lines and Victaulic manufacturing facilities.
- Manage the development and maintenance of internal technical specifications and testing methods commensurate with tolerance sensitivities and part complexity.
- Initiate product/process reviews related to warranty claims/customer complaints.
- Perform trend analysis and establish ongoing manufacturing/quality metrics.
- Conduct routine reviews through random audits of related manufacturing processes and products.
- Engineering Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a global Manufacturing, Quality, or Engineering organization.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and their application (control charts, process capability, etc.).
- Proficient in problem-solving and electronic systems/software (MS Office and MiniTab).
- Knowledge of Victaulic product line desired.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of measuring equipment.
- Able to make independent decisions without supervisory assistance.
- Able to travel globally as required.
