Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to promote a safety-first culture and ensure understanding of safety programs, procedures, and policies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and stay up-to-date on regulatory changes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Intermodal, Rail, or Operations with in-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and other regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and training of safety programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to multiple states and locations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • CET (Certified Environmental, Safety and Health Trainer) certificate preferred.
  • CSP or Equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license.
