Responsibilities:
Key Duties:
Ensure precise operations, including the loading and unloading of materials, and making necessary adjustments based on guidelines, checklists, product specifications, and customer job ticket requirements.
Continuously monitor and rectify any quality issues that arise during production runs to minimize downtime and waste.
Maintain thorough records of all completed tasks in the shop floor data system and/or manual forms as required.
Complete necessary audit documentation based on job stages and equipment utilized.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess foundational skills necessary for operating technical machinery. Proficiency in using calipers and other hand tools is required.
Ability to interact with a PC for data input and output, as well as loading and unloading programs is essential. Keyboard skills are necessary.
Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions (both written and verbal). Capability to write basic reports. Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with other employees.
Strong communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
Mathematical skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in various units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Capability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in machine operation is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, including color differentiation.
Basic proficiency in English communication skills is necessary.
Fundamental computer skills.
Competence with hand tools.
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires standing for extended periods and involves walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
Good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, and normal color vision are essential to ensure product quality and maintain safety.
Tasks involve full use of hands/fingers to operate precision or semi-precision equipment, tools, or instruments requiring deft hand movements.
Work may involve fine detail, which can be mentally and physically demanding.
Involves working with rapidly moving machinery that may require quick adjustments to minimize waste and time.
This position operates in shifts and may require overtime to meet production deadlines.
