About the Role

As a Radiology Extern 2 PRN, you will work under the direct supervision of a registered Imaging Technologist, performing a variety of tasks and procedures in accordance with completed competencies and unit needs. You will identify your own learning needs and seek opportunities to enhance your practice knowledge base related to imaging and the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to department policies and protocols by ensuring all examinations are optimized for interpretation.
  • Demonstrate the ability and skills to assist with adhering to radiography principles.
  • Demonstrate the effective use of radiation protection procedures with collimation devices and protective shielding.
  • Assist radiologic tech in performing a variety of examinations by using standard department protocols, isolation precautions and/or sterile technique.
Requirements
  • High School or GED
  • Full-time student in good standing in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Must be 2nd year in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Basic Life Support Certification
