Clinical Technician - Progressive Care Unit

Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital is a world-renowned healthcare organization that values its caregivers. As a Clinical Technician in our Progressive Care Unit, you will work with a diverse population of patients, providing hemodynamic monitoring, continuous respiratory care, and pharmacologic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care under the supervision of an RN, including vital signs, weight, and personal care.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN.
  • Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Nursing students: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of recent, full-time patient care experience or nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation as part of an accredited nursing school program or military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force rarely, and/or 0 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
