Marine Pile Installation Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marine Pile Installation Specialist is a proficient tradesperson with expertise in the installation of various types of piles, specifically designed for marine environments. This role encompasses working with concrete piles, pipe piles, H piles, and timber piles.
- Must possess reliable transportation.
- Work schedule involves 6 to 7 days per week, with shifts lasting 10-12 hours.
- Time off can be requested as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESinclude, but are not limited to:
- Interpreting and understanding project plans and pile layout blueprints.
- Expertise in rigging and signaling for various crane operations and marine tasks.
- Contributing to the creation of work element plans, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and upholding project safety and quality standards.
- Engaging in site safety meetings and reporting near misses.
- Proficiently using standard tools such as skill saws, chain saws, sledgehammers, and other hand and power tools.
- Adhering to Manson's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workplace.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the construction sector.
- Strong understanding of quality control and concrete placement relevant to marine construction projects.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow and give directions accurately.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Valid identification is mandatory. A Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) certificate or eligibility is required. Certification as a rigger is essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must meet the physical demands of this position, which include:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on marine vessels.
- Safely performing tasks around heavy machinery in marine construction and dredging sites.
- Wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, flotation devices, safety glasses, and respirators.
